Ultrasonic Immersion Systems


Ultrasonic Immersion Systems TecScan develops non-destructive Ultrasonic Testing & Phased Array immersion scanning systems ranging from small immersion tanks for laboratory environments to large multi-axis industrial immersion &squirter gantry systems. We provide non-destructive testing immersion systems for MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) of aircraft components, for the inspection of aerospace structures, as well as for the testing of power generation and industrial applications components


Three Series of Immersion Systems are available: TS, TC &Scan3D. The TSImmersion System Series have standard immersion tank sizes designed for laboratory & simple component testing, while the TC Immersion Systems Series are designed with heavy-duty structures and tanks for large scanning envelopes. These systems can be custom designed and built to suit the clients’ non-destructive testing needs. The Scan3D series are High-Precision Systems designed for automated 2D/3D ultrasonic testing of complex aerospace and industrial parts.

High-Performance Immersion Scanners


High-Performance Immersion Scanners The Scan3D series are high-performance immersion scanning systems which are designed for demanding non-destructive ultrasonic testing applications. This line of automated immersion systems is carefully designed for high scanning speeds and inspection of complex components used in aerospace and industrial applications.


Combined with our state of the art 3D motion control system and data acquisition software TecView3D, and our Gimbal/Gimbal ultrasonic probe manipulator, theScan3D solution revolutionizes the ultrasonic immersion inspection process. With the Scan3D ultrasonic testing solution, scan plans of inspected parts are directly defined from CAD files, and the automated ultrasonic C-Scan tests are performed in Through-Transmission and Pulse-Echo. The ultrasonic C-Scan test results are also displayed on imported 3D model for non-destructive analysis. ultrasonic testing of complex aerospace and industrial parts.

Ultrasonic Gantry Systems


Ultrasonic Gantry Systems TecScan’s NDT Ultrasonic Gantry Systems are industrial Squirter scanners designed for non-destructive quality testing and raster scanning of large structures and parts. The Gantry Systems are usually composed of an Industrial Mechanical Scanner and a Control Room with System Workstation.


The mechanical scanner is a large industrial Cartesian coordinate robot which can accommodate up to 12 independent axes. The structure is made of structural steel components (Steel tube, I-Beams, Steel Plate, etc) welded together for increased rigidity. The Control Room includes all the Gantry electronic components and it is designed to host two system users for system control and data analysis.

Table-Top Scanners


Table-Top Scanners TecScan offers a completely integrated solution incorporating Table-top scanner, an industrial enclosure housing all the required electronics, a workstation as well as TecView software package. This Table-Top scanner can handle multiple non-destructive testing applications, ranging from research and inspection procedure development activities, up to industrial inspections for corrosion mapping, inspection of fasteners, multi-layered structures, and more.


TecView software is a user friendly software helps manage the entire NDT procedure, all the way from scanner motion control to data acquisition and analysis. In addition, the Table-Top scanner can be customized to satisfy specific requirements.

Bearing Inspection Systems


Bearing Inspection Systems TecScan offers turnkey automated Eddy Current Bearing Inspection Systems. The standard configuration represents a 4-axis assembly (Y, Z, Gimbal, Turn Table) operated using our Eddy Current software package TecView EC. The software assists you in the management of motion control, scanning procedure, data collection and analysis, as well as in the setting of the Eddy Current parameters and alarms.


This Eddy Current scanner performs the inspections using special testing procedures developed for the scanning of Ball Bearing Raceways, Roller Bearings Raceways, Inner Grooves, etc..

Portable Automated Scanner

Phased Array Axle Scanner


Phased Array Axle Scanner TecScan has developed an advanced ultrasonic solution for non-destructive testing of train axles. This solution includes a manual axle scanner and phased array technology. The scanner performs a full 360° rotation of the phased array probe around the axle axis. Making use of the multi-angle capabilities of the phased array technology, the scanner produces simultaneous pulse-echo inspections at all refraction angles, all areas of interest within the axle are therefore covered by a single scan. The inspection results are easy to understand, they are presented either in the form of sectorial scans showing all refraction angles, as B-Scans at some specific refraction angles or as C-Scans corresponding to specific areas of the axle.
