The inventor of the Leeb rebound technique has put its many years of experience into the development of the famous Equotip - Proceq’s product family for metal hardness testing. Proceq revolutionized the market in 1975 when it launched the first Equotip.


The Equotip 550 is the most versatile all-in-one solution for portable hardness testing. The Leeb hardness principle is based on the dynamic (rebound) method and is best suited for on-site testing of heavy, large or already installed parts. The Portable Rockwell test principle follows the traditional Rockwell static test method, which is particularly suited for scratch-sensitive, polished or thin parts as well as for profiles and pipes


The Equotip Piccolo 2 and Bambino 2 are both suited for on-site hardness checks of metals where the test indentation should be as small as possible. The Equotip Piccolo 2 offers the same features for metal hardness testing, but offers additionally user defined hardness conversions and the Proceq invented software Piccolo.

Equotip 550


Equotip 550 The Equotip 550 is the most versatile all-in-one solution for portable hardness testing. The Leeb hardness principle is based on the dynamic (rebound) method and is best suited for on-site testing of heavy, large or already installed parts. In combination with the Equotip Portable Rockwell Probe, the Equotip 550 can be extended with the traditional Rockwell static test method. This additionally allows automatic on-site correlation of Leeb to Portable Rockwell true indention hardness value.

The enhanced software provides interactive wizards, automatic verification processes, personalization options and custom report functions. Furthermore, it is compatible with upcoming developments.

Equotip 550 UCI The combination with the Equotip Leeb Impact Devices and Portable Rockwell Probe additionally allows automatic on-site correlations of two measuring methods. The Equotip Touchscreen unit offers an elaborated interface designed by industry experts for increased efficiency and exceptional user experience. The enhanced software provides special UCI profile views, one-step calibration procedure, personalization options and custom report functions. Equotip Bambino 2


Equotip Bambino 2 The Equotip Bambino 2 is a handy measuring device for an easy metal hardness test on most diverse part geometries. It combines modern electronics with a patented impact device that integrates the test cycle into one simple motion. Proceq’s stand alone instrument for the metal hardness test does not require a separate indicating device, nor cables or PC hardware: its control menu and innovative features make the Equotip Bambino 2 the most ergonomic and easy to use integrated instrument for the metal hardness test. Automatic recognition of the impact direction and self-diagnostics make the metal hardness test with the Equotip Bambino 2 incredibly easy. The large LCD display shows the individual readings and mean test results. Most common metal hardness conversions are included. The Equotip Bambino 2 is ideally suited for a quick on-site metal hardness test.


The DL Accessory Kit is used to extend the range of applications. It allows the metal hardness test in confined spaces and recessed surfaces through a long, slim testing nozzle.
